Leinster Farm Machines is recruiting for a Qualified Tractor Mechanic based in Duleek, County Meath. This is an exciting opportunity for a Tractor Mechanic to join the Service department in Ireland’s leading CLAAS dealership. Here at LFM we take great pride in the timely, efficient and high-quality service we provide to our customers daily.

The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of tractors, mechanics, hydraulics, electronics, maintenance, and service. You will be on a team of 14 mechanics who are trained to the very highest standards. Your role will be to offer experience, technology access and use the support of our key suppliers to ensure machines are serviced to the highest level in a professional manner using genuine parts.

This role will report to the Service Manager.

Role Responsibilities:

• Maintenance and repair of tractors and farm machinery
• Practical service work on farm machines in the workshop or field
• Travel to customer farms
• Complete PDI of tractors and machinery
• Communicate with service manager over ongoing jobs.
• Liaise with parts department for supplies.
• Complete all paperwork to company and dealer standards.
• Provide technical customer support and assistance.
• General housekeeping of station and workshop
• Always adhere to health and safety protocols.

Essential Experience:

• Qualified Tractor Mechanic
• 3+ years post qualification experience
• Self-motivated while working alone or as part of a team.
• Proven ability to work under high pressure and while maintaining high standards.
• Ability to work extra hours during busy season.
• Understanding of customers’ needs and urgency of completing repairs.
• Extensive knowledge of hydraulics and electronics troubleshooting
• Computer literate on diagnostics
• Problem solving and attention to detail skills.
