Workshop Supervisor

Location: New Lanes, Duleek, County Meath

We are looking for someone with experience in the Agri industry who is familiar with the technical capabilities of farm machinery.  This role will be split between supervision and administration duties within the workshop. This role will act as a point of contact between our team of qualified mechanics and customers to maximize efficiency within the workshop, allocate and prioritise jobs and ensure continuity for the customer. In addition, you will take full ownership of handling the end-to-end administration of workshop jobs on our internal management system, supplier, and customer portals.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Manage the workflow within the workshop by being a main point of contact. You will be diagnosing internal and external customer’s service requests, prioritizing, and allocating jobs to our team of 15 mechanics.
  • The scope of work includes but not limited to, equipment failure diagnostics, engines, electrical systems transmissions, electronics, and computer applications.
  • Maintain communication between the workshop and the customer to address inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure satisfaction with service delivery.
  • Act as a liaison between the workshop and internal teams such as the parts, sales and accounts department. Deal with any invoicing queries, parts orders for the workshop and sales needs.
  • Take responsibility for the follow-up and resolution of complex or escalated service cases.
  • Provide support and knowledge to mechanics facing challenging service cases.
  • Ensure manufacturer standards are always adhered to.
  • Ensure all employees follow all health and safety protocols. Ensure tools and equipment are maintained and the workshop is kept organised and efficient.
  • Act as the expert of technology systems and technical information within the workshop.
  • Process warranty claims, ensuring correct documentation is attached to claim, liaising with mechanics on justification of claim and liaising with the supplier.
  • Administer and manage customer portals, ensuring they are updated with relevant information and that customers can easily access necessary documents and service records.
  • Manage time tracking to ensure that all hours are properly recorded and allocated on employee portals.

Essential Experience:

  • 5 + years industry experience
  • Excellent mechanical knowledge of farm machinery, working knowledge of CLAAS machinery is a plus.
  • Ability to prioritise and communicate tasks in an efficient way across various stakeholders.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Knowledge of warranty claim process.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to a non- technical audience.
  • Good time management and communication skills both internally and externally.
  • Proven customer and stakeholder relationship management skills.
  • Experience in diagnostics and troubleshooting problems.
  • Full clean driving licence
  • Attention to detail of documentation.
